Spring wedding at That Amazing Place | Charlotte and Mark sneak peek
I love a spring wedding (Ok, I love all weddings) but after a long cold winter, a spring wedding, complete with blossom is a refreshing change, and a That Amazing Place wedding is always a gorgeous one. And despite there being some rain forecast, I’m really glad it held off – I met with Charlotte and Mark a few weeks ago for their pre-wedding shoot and we were met with pouring rain and hail, so the weather gods were on our side on Saturday (I’ll blog their engagement shoot soon, as we did manage to get a few minutes to play in front of the camera!)
But let’s take a look at their gorgeous wedding….
Getting ready for a Spring wedding
Both Charlotte and Mark got ready at That Amazing Place, Charlotte in the bridal cottage and Mark in what used to be the bridal suite. It’s one of the things I love about That Amazing Place, both sides of the couple get a beautiful setting to get ready in, and it makes a real difference in those preparation images.
Charlotte chose a breathtaking Justin Alexander dress, the detailing is gorgeous and her shoes were fabulous, I love seeing how our couples express their personality in their wedding. Charlotte’s three bridesmaids wore powder blue dresses that coordinated perfectly with the blue hydrangeas within the bouquets. Mark and his groomsmen looked dapper in their tuxedos, adding even more style to this spring wedding.
That Amazing Place wedding ceremony
Now the last time we had a That Amazing Place wedding, it was warm enough to be outside, however for Charlotte and Mark, their ceremony was held in their beautiful ceremony room (much warmer!) and it was a ceremony filled with smiles, laughter and the occasional teary eye. Following the ceremony we headed outside for confetti, and I love how much confetti they had provided their guests, it makes such an incredible confetti shot.
The beauty of couple portraits at That Amazing Place
As I said before, Saturday was a pretty chilly day, but Charlotte and Mark wrapped up (we borrowed Hutch’s coat to wrap Charlotte up in!) and headed into the beautiful grounds, where I was delighted to have noticed earlier in the day that there was still some blossom (can’t have a spring wedding without blossom surely!)
I always love this part of the day with our couples, it’s a chance for them to get some breathing space, to just be in each other’s company, (yes ok I’m there too, but I stay back) and to reflect on the day so far and bask in the fact that they are now married.
That Amazing Place wedding reception
The guests were treated to a delicious three course meal by Premier Crew in the gorgeous reception room. This room is light and airy (our fave!) and Charlotte and Mark decorated it with powder blue hydrangeas, with handwritten name cards really giving it the personal touch. As Mark is a pastry chef, of course the cake looked delicious, I am a huge lover of buttercream icing.
Just as the meal ended, the sun was setting, so we nipped outside for some last minute golden hour portraits and we just caught the end of that beautiful golden hue, another one of my favourite parts of the day.
Charlotte and Mark had a wonderful day, congratulations on getting married and we are so pleased that we were able to capture it for you. Can’t wait to edit the rest of the images now!
Until next time,
