Stoke Newington Wedding – Lovers of London Editorial Shoot

Stoke Newington is known for it’s super stylish couples. They create their own trends and their wedding will always reflect them as a couple. Whether that be a leather jacket with a more traditional dress, or opting for a two-piece with sheer sleeves.
So when Lou and Cherelle (the epitome of East London style) approached me with the idea for this Stoke Newington wedding editorial shoot, I jumped at the chance. They bought together an incredible team and we photographed two looks at The Last Crumb (the cutest cafe spot with awesome food and a killer espresso martini).

Now, we all know I love flowers and a lot of the shoots I’ve been part of have involved huge floral arrangements. However, that doesn’t work for all venues, and it would have certainly looked odd in The Last Crumb. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have flowers that create an impact, and that’s just what Catherine Short did. Creating smaller arrangements in an eclectic mix of bottles (perfect if you have a gin obsession?!) the florals and foliage coordinated perfectly with the beautiful tableware and added the softest of romance to a more urban setting. These florals were then mirrored in the stunning bouquet, including some of my favourite blooms but for the life of me I can never remember what they’re called!

Now, you can’t have a Stoke Newington wedding and not explore the area for your portraits, which is exactly what we did, and as we had two looks, we had a mix of greenery and a nod to the more romantic style weddings are known for, followed by some more edgy portraits in the neighbouring streets.

So there you have it, I think my favourite look is the bridal two piece (both are gorgeous, but no surprise there being by the fabulous Kate Edmondson Bridal), it’s just got something about it and I can just picture that top being teamed up with skinny jeans and gorgeous shoes after the wedding for a night out with the girls!
Until next time,
