Family photography – it’s time for Mum’s to be present in their family photos

With Mother’s Day fast approaching it got me thinking about how many Mum’s I see on social media, posting lots of images of their children and the fun they are having with them, out and about in parks or playing at home with pots of paint.  However something I have noticed more and more is that Mum’s aren’t appearing in those photos with their family.  And I guess that’s because they are the ones taking the photos, or Dad is and so then he isn’t in the picture!  So when you look back at those pictures in years to come, or in fact your children are in even more years to come (maybe even showing their own children about their childhood….) it won’t be the complete picture because not everyone is there!  This is what a family photography session is all about.

When designing our own family and friend’s gallery wall for our hallway I’ve noticed the same thing, there is always someone missing from the photo, which is why we’ve booked an amazing family shoot on the beach with a fabulous photographer so that we have images of us, my parents, sister and her husband so that we can all be present.

And that’s what I want for others, to have relaxed and natural feeling family photos but with Mum (or Dad) in them too! Whether that be in at home enjoying time as a family or playing in your favourite park, let’s get some images of the true essence of family – being together and having fun.

A family photography session

So, with Mother’s Day just around the corner (Sunday 26th March for those who don’t know!) now’s the time to book in that photoshoot to create images of you all, not with Mum stuck behind the camera.  Lifestyle shoots cost £250 and include an hour and a half on location, your images on a private online gallery and three gorgeous mounted prints.  But don’t worry, you don’t have to book the date now, you can buy Mum one of our super lovely gift vouchers for the shoot so that she can use it at a time that works best for her!

Until next time,
