Buy handmade at the Etsy Christmas Showcase

Everyone knows in retail that Christmas planning has to start really early and so it was no surprise that as part of my role as a B.LOVED contributor I attended the Etsy Christmas Showcase in July, yes you read that right…. July!  But wow it was fun and there were so many talented creative businesses there showing their amazing designs and products.

The UK has so much talent and it’s so important to support creative businesses, you just know their heart and soul goes into each product, much the same way that our heart and soul goes into every wedding and shoot we have the pleasure of doing.  It’s why this year; we have, where possible to buy our Christmas presents from creative businesses either through Etsy, Not on the High Street, through the creatives we already know or at events such as Taste of Christmas (which we previously blogged about).

We met some amazing people at the Etsy Christmas Showcase:

Suzie Lee Knitwear

Promises Promises

Feather Oak

Fox and Lilly

REW Homeware

Whole Grain Homes

CJ Designs

Papio Press

To name but a few!

And don’t forget, your wedding also supports creative businesses, not just the suppliers you book in terms of photography, hair and makeup, florists, stationery, cake etc. but in the décor, the gifts you may buy your bridal party or the favours that you treat your guests to.    It’s all of these details we love to capture on your big day too, because if they are important to you they are important to capture (as cheesy as that sounds!)

We are always on the lookout for new creative businesses to explore so if you have any recommendations then we would absolutely love to hear about them.  In fact, why not tag us in Instagram comments of your finds so that we can check them out!

Until next time,
