Congratulations on your engagement – what next?

Where the summer is deemed wedding season, the festive period is definitely engagement season. Many people have been asked a very special question, which may have included some very special sparkly jewellery.

We have loved hearing your engagement stories so far over on our Instagram account as well as how organised some of you are with getting in touch to see what our availability is like for 2018 and 2019!  However, we do know that planning a wedding can be daunting, how do you know where to start?

Well, we have a whole heap of blog posts and resources that can help you at every stage of your wedding, so we thought we would pop them in here just to start you off.

We will also be launching the AKP wedding lounge resource page soon which will give access to all our advice posts as well as downloadable guides and planning tools.  After all, a stress free wedding planning journey means a more chilled out day for you and your bridal party, so it’s a win win all round!

In the meantime, you should really head over to our dedicated Facebook group just for brides, it’s the chance for you to ask industry leading experts on all aspects of your wedding as well as bounce ideas and get recommendations from other brides.  I was part of a group like this during our planning and it was so helpful to talk with other brides.

Our biggest piece of advice (and the advice that our own couples have shared with us) is to take time to enjoy being engaged, it is after all part of your wedding story and the story of you as a couple, so don’t feel you have to rush into the planning, enjoy the process and celebrate!

Of course, once you get started, pop back here for our advice posts to help you along the way (the stress free post above links to all the stages so bookmark that for safe keeping).  And when you have your date and venue (check out Coco Wedding Venues for inspiration) sorted we hope to hear from you to talk about your wedding photography.

Until next time,

Amanda x
