Bridal party gifts inspiration

We’re all about gifts here on the blog this month and today, we’re thinking about perfect presents for your bridal party. Oh yes, these wedding day heroes definitely deserve a little something special as a thank you for all their hard work so choose them something you know they’ll love. Whether you go for a traditional gift or opt for a more modern memento of the day, you can be sure your thoughtfulness will be appreciated. So, here are some ideas for great gifts for your bridal party.

However, before we start, let’s just give ourselves a little reminder shall we? Yes, everyone loves a gorgeous present but when you’re buying for bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents and others, you can easily blow your budget. The best gifts aren’t necessarily those that cost the most but rather they’re the most thoughtful. Give a gift that you know someone will appreciate and give it with love and that’s all that matters.

Gifts for bridesmaids

Traditionally, bridesmaids have been given jewellery on the morning of the wedding that they can then wear during the big day. This is still a great option because, let’s be honest, who doesn’t love gorgeous accessories? Your maids will be able to wear your gift time and time again after the wedding is over so this is a practical and long-lasting present.

Some brides choose to give their bridesmaids silk robes, t-shirts or super cute pyjamas to wear on the morning of the wedding or you’ve always got the option of gifting experiences too. Post-wedding spa days or pampering sessions give you the chance to all get together again and catch up once all the craziness is over.

All that said, you know your maids best so really, nothing is off limits when it comes to meaningful gifts. How about an old photo of you both in a beautiful frame or a vintage copy of a book you know they love? For more creative gifts, including lots that you can personalise, take a look at Not On The High Street for heaps of brilliant ideas.

Gifts for groomsmen

As with bridesmaids, there are definitely customary ‘man’ gifts for the male members of the bridal party. Anything from cufflinks and cigars to socks, hipflasks and tankards are all traditional presents and actually, when these have been carefully chosen and personalised, they can be really special.

Of course, there are way more options than those if you want to show your guys just what they mean to you. How about a cool personalised print or something fab for a well-known foodie like a chunky personalised cheese/chopping board? As with the girls, experiences go down really well too – how about booking a trip to a brewery or distillery for a tasting or a meal at a great restaurant?

Gifts for parents

It’s always an emotional moment when parents are thanked in speeches and it’s usual to give them a little something too. Bouquets from the mothers are traditional but if you’d like something a little longer lasting, how about a rose bush that they can plant at home? The ‘Wedding Day’ variety is a great choice! We might be a little bit biased but we also offer gift vouchers so your parents could choose their favourite photo from your wedding images.

Whatever gifts you choose for your bridal party, make it personal. Write a heartfelt note in a card or even pen them a letter. Talk about your friendship, your memories and tell them why you love them. That’s the best gift ever.

Until next time,
