Brand photography: Wedding celebrant Tamryn from Wild and Oak

Earlier this year I had the pleasure of doing a brand photography shoot with Tamryn for her exciting new venture as a wedding celebrant.  Now, if you don’t know what a celebrant is, it’s the perfect addition to your wedding day team if you are having a civil ceremony.  Their role is to create a truly personalised ceremony for you as a couple, meaning that it really will represent you both and your story so far as a couple.  Anyway, I was over the moon when I heard Tamryn was qualifying as a celebrant as it is the absolute perfect role for her.  Tamryn has such a beautiful way with words and hopefully won’t mind me saying, is also a bit of a romantic, what a perfect combination for creating a dream ceremony for wedding couples.

Anyway, I am gushing a bit, so let me tell you more about the shoot.  Despite it supposedly being Spring when we did the shoot, it was pretty chilly.  But Tamryn was a star and still braved the cold to create some really lovely images outdoors and in nature, synonymous with her brand Wild and Oak. I can just picture Tamryn now conducting a beautiful outdoor ceremony, in fact I’m hoping one day to be photographing just that scene!

For my brides reading this, if you’re having a civil service then I would really think about having a celebrant, the main reason for the day is to celebrate the two of you, and you becoming husband and wife.  So much thought is put into making the reception personal to the couple that sometimes the ceremony itself is forgotten, this is the perfect way to inject your personality and story into the day.

If you’re reading this as a business, I am as passionate about capturing the true essence of a business and the person (or people) behind it as I am about capturing weddings.  So, if you want images that represent your business’ values and story then I would love to hear from you so we can start planning your own brand photography shoot!

Until next time,
