Best of the 2019 London engagement shoots

Hello and Happy New Year!

The first blog post of 2020 and I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year, was it filled with great food and company?  Christmas is one of the most popular times for couples to get engaged, and whilst we’re sharing some advice next week around this, we thought we’d take a look back over our 2019 engagement shoots (after our 2019 wedding round up last week).  And ok, some of them aren’t actually London engagement shoots, but were London couples or at least near London haha!

Now for those of you that know us, you’ll know how important we think engagement shoots are, not only as preparation for your wedding day (a rehearsal if you wish) but also to celebrate this chapter of your story – celebrating the fact that you are engaged!

For those of you who have just stumbled across us, we love an engagement shoot, it’s why we include one as part of our services.  You see, being engaged is exciting, but so quickly the focus can go onto the wedding planning and away from you two as a couple.  So the aim is to bring the shoot back to you two, from choosing somewhere that means something to you both or represents you as a couple, through to creating some time and space for you to focus on each other.  Yes we are there, but we take a step back and just allow you to spend some time together (the way we do on the wedding day!).  Because it’s those moments where the magic happens! (We wrote more about it over on the fabulous wedding planner Keenda’s blog if you’re interested)

Right, let’s take a look back at the engagement shoots of 2019…

We’ve been surrounded by blossom, walked along deserted (and busy) beaches, explored ruins and gone off the beaten track away from the tourist spots of London!

Our 2020 engagement shoots start up again this spring, and I can’t wait for this year’s couples to have their time in front of the camera ahead of their wedding day!  Where will they choose and what magic will we create for this part of the journey?

If you’re recently engaged, or been engaged for a while but still without your photographer, drop us a note and let’s see how we can capture your story.

Until next time,

Amanda x
