Alice in Wonderland inspired styled shoot in the Lakes
“The time has come, the walrus said. To talk of many things: of shoes and ships, and selling wax, of cabbages and kings, and why the sea is boiling hot, and whether pigs have wings”
I love Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, so when I saw that Aspire was creating an Alice in Wonderland inspired styled shoot last summer I couldn’t wait to get involved. Heading up to the Lakes, it was my first time visiting Aspire and I was blown away when I got there. Such a beautiful setting and spread out before us were three fantastic scenes set up, all inspired by Alice in Wonderland. Yasmin (Aspire) and Emma (Tebbey & Co) have an amazing attention to detail, you’ll see all the gorgeous details that went into each scene below. But it wouldn’t have been Alice in Wonderland without Alice, the Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts and even the Cheshire Cat! The models were fantastic and really bought the story to life.
Styled shoots are a great way to unleash creativity, it’s an opportunity to see things differently when working with other creative businesses and they are so much fun. For weddings they also offer inspiration for your big day and show how you too can tell a story or theme through scene setting.
This first week into the New Year has been pretty busy, but I’m excited for what 2015 brings and how my photography will grow. The diary is already filling and I can’t wait to show you the variety of shoots and weddings I have this year.
One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw the Cheshire cat in a tree. “Which road do I take?” she asked. “Where do you want to go?” was his response. “I don’t know,” Alice answered. “Then,’ said the cat, ‘it doesn’t matter”
Thank you for your continued support and it’s great you’re joining us on this journey!
