A rich ballet inspired wedding at BMA House
This ballet inspired wedding shoot was born from my my love for ballet and the romance of the dance; to me it’s a perfect style for a wedding! I wanted to capture the beautiful lines and emotion of couple both as dancers and as a bride and groom, as this is what a wedding is all about, romance, emotion and fleeting moments. However, given the time of year I wanted to also show couples how they could bring the bold and beautiful colours of autumn and winter into their wedding whilst still maintaining a classic elegant style. Our brides were dressed in simply stunning gowns from Sabina Motasem and our groom was in a dapper suit from Alexandra Wood, providing the perfect look to complement the stylish look of this wedding.
BMA House, a very grand building in the heart of London, was the perfect venue for this shoot and nestled within is a gorgeous courtyard garden which we were lucky to be able to use as the day was a clear and fresh autumn afternoon! Large blooms and greenery were the focal point of the tables, and to add richness to the colours on the table, deep red glasses and hand painted letterpress stationery were added.
This would be a simple style to inspire your wedding; it’s not about huge statement pieces, but about careful use of colour, textures and detail. Use flowers that are in season as they bring the true spirit to your autumn or winter wedding and for extra flare, use coordinating silk ribbons to wrap your bouquet, such as the ones used in our shoot.
I worked with an amazing team of vendors for this shoot and that’s so important for your own wedding too. Pick vendors who can recreate your vision, whose work you simply adore and who you trust, after all this is an important day for you both!

I hope you enjoy looking through them and they maybe spark you to have your very own ballet inspired wedding… I’m also very excited that this wedding shoot has been featured on English Wedding Blog
Until next time,
