2017: inspiring branding and commercial photography
We have always loved working with passionate businesses who understand the importance of strong imagery for their brand. However, this year we saw a real stepping up of businesses and brands wanting fresh new images for their online presence. This resulted in the launching of separate facebook and Instagram profiles for our commercial photography, and AKP Branding Stories was launched.
2018 will see the launch of dedicated commercial photography website pages within the Amanda Karen Photography website to really highlight how we can work with businesses and artisans to create beautiful imagery that really reflects their passion and talent.
This year had us photographing mouth-watering food and drinks for menus, gorgeous venue spaces, entrepreneurs doing their thing and a whole host of events.
Commercial photography: head shots
Commercial photography used to mean businesses needing a “headshot”, these used to be stuffy and very sterile and didn’t represent the people behind the brand. Thankfully this is long gone and we have worked with some absolutely awesome people this year to create images that bring life to their About page!
Commercial photography: food photography
Specialising in food photography has provided us with some amazing opportunities to work along side super talented chefs and artisan producers this year. We all understand the importance of great photography when it comes to food and we pride ourselves on creating mouthwatering images to really showcase not only the finished dish but the carefully selected ingredients.
Commercial photography: all about the brand
So, in today’s world of social media, having a killer head shot isn’t the only photography a business has to consider. Now, imagery is used to show your potential clients what it means to work with your business and the person behind the brand – your passion, interests and even some sneaky peeks behind the scenes or you doing your thing at a workshop! But just as important as the person behind the brand are the products or services, and the best way to portray those is to include them in your branding shoot.
